The latest set of brakes are almost complete, they just need a polish up before being sent for black anodising. Here they are, just set up to check everything fits together nicely:
Due to the unusual Klein MC1 fork steerer dimensions, fitting a standard stem and bars needs an adapter. In the piccy below there is the black anodised shim made to fit the MC1 size steerer. The brake cable hanger is also complete and topped of with a machined stem cap. All the silver bits will be black anodised.
New brake cable adjusters are in place and ready for the anodisers.....
The seatclamp bolt has a machined aluminium cap and nut.
I have to make the gear cable ferrules, polish all the machined parts plus a seatpost and chainset. Hopefully the whole lot will be fully assembled in a week or two.
My machined bicycle components will be detailed in this Blog. I design and machine all the components myself. A lot of this work is done manually and the parts are usually 'one offs' or low quantity.

Another set of brakes slowly on its way.....
The first brake arm of a new set. This is the same design as the previous set but with the CNC program tweaked a bit.
The brake arm will be cut from the block with a bandsaw, deburred and cleaned up. The slot for the brake pad still has to be machined, along with a few other operations.
